Who We Are
Joe Robert, CPA
Joe graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia, where he earned both his Bachelor of Science in Accounting (BSAcc) and Master of Accountancy (MAcc) degrees in 2012.
After graduation, he became a licensed CPA while working for a public accounting firm in St. Louis, MO for almost 5 years before moving to Dallas, TX and transitioning to the private sector.
In 2021, Joe helped launch Contract Counselors, a marketplace with over 2,000 users, connecting law firms with contract attorneys for short-term or ongoing support. Through this venture, Joe had the opportunity to interact with numerous solo practitioners and small law firm owners. He saw firsthand the challenges they faced—while some were doing well, others struggled with cash flow management and growth.
As you probably already know, running a law firm is more than just practicing law—there’s also the need for accurate financial statements and financial planning to successfully guide your firm into the future.
Inspired by these conversations and wanting to make a difference, Joe started America’s Bookkeepers & Advisors.
The company’s mission: Help law firm owners have a business that’s financially healthy and producing more revenue, more profit, and more cash than ever before.
Laura graduated from Texas Women’s University in 2016 with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree (BSN).
After graduating, Laura began working as a Labor & Delivery nurse in the Dallas area.
When Laura is not busy working night shifts as a nurse, she’s helping her husband Joe with the marketing and back-end support of running the business.
