Who We Are
Joseph Robert, CPA
Joe graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2012 with his Bachelor of Science in Accounting (BSAcc) and Master of Accountancy (MAcc) degrees.
After graduation, he obtained his CPA license while working for a public accounting firm in St. Louis (MO) for almost 5 years before moving to Dallas (TX) and switching to the private sector.
In 2021, he helped launch Contract Counselors, a marketplace (with over 2,000 users) for law firms to hire attorneys for short-term or ongoing support on a contract basis.
While working with Contract Counselors, Joe spoke with many small to medium-sized law firms. Some were growing successfully on their own, while others weren’t sure of the correct path forward.
This led to the creation of America’s Bookkeepers, where we partner with law firm owners unsure of how to scale their practice.
Laura graduated from Texas Women’s University in 2016 with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree (BSN).
After graduating, Laura began working as a Labor & Delivery nurse in the Dallas area.
When Laura is not busy working night shifts as a nurse, she’s helping her husband Joe with the marketing and back-end support of running the business.
